WELL Building Standard

The WELL Learning Library has been approved by GBCI to fulfill education and survey requirements for WELL projects.

What is WELL?

Managed and administered by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the WELL Building Standard® (WELL) is a performance-based system to globally transform health and well-being with a People First Places approach to buildings, organizations and communities. WELL is a roadmap for organizations to benchmark proven wellness strategies, as well as creating and certifying spaces that advance human health and well-being. WELL is the leading tool for advancing health and well-being in buildings globally.

A Brief History

The WELL Learning Library (WLL) originated through conversations about the WELL Building Standard (WELL). When IWBI released their v2 Pilot and Portfolio program, it became apparent that approved occupant surveys and new learning strategies would need to be introduced into the marketplace that provided people with access to education on how the spaces where they live, work, learn, and play impact their health and well-being. The outcome of these conversations resulted in the WLL whose mission is to create a community expanding educational opportunities, increasing awareness, and causing behavioral transformation that will lead to optimal well-being for everyone and a sustainable future for all.
